NSW schools offer special religious education and special education in ethics. Approved providers deliver these, where available.
Write to the school if you wish to withdraw your child from special religious education, sometimes known as scripture. Special education in ethics is an option for your primary-age child if you withdraw them from special religious education. For more information, visit Religion and ethics.
Special religious education (SRE)
At Jilliby Public School we offer the following options for SRE:
- Christian (delivered by providers from Wyong Baptist Church)

Special Education in Ethics (SEE)
At Jilliby Public School we offer the option of SEE to students who are not attending SRE.
The weekly 30 minute lessons are delivered by providers from Primary Ethics.
Students not attending SRE or SEE are given supervised alternative meaningful activities
A parent/carer may at any time notify the school in writing that they wish to change their decision. Students will continue the same arrangement as the previous year, unless a parent/carer has requested a change in writing.
